is not silver used in more than gold because it is cheaper ?

Because gold is the far superior production product for electronics ( conduction and non-oxidizing etc ) so when big $$$$$$$ moves out of something ( like banking ) it moves to gold and not silver .

Many governments use gold as a monetary reserve. Whereas silver only private investors invest in. Also silver has many more industrial uses than gold has.

Which means that in bad economic times there might be more demand for gold than for silver.

Perhaps some governments with large US dollar reserves are converting some of their money into gold. Which is keeping up the price of gold.

l know a number of people who think that silver is grossly underpriced.
We will see what happens.
