The issue l have with the question is ''will.''

Since no one can predict the future with 100%, no one can answer this with other than a 50/50 guess.

Answer. Maybe.

But it does not matter since the gov already owns FNM/FRE. The equity in FNM/FRE is not backed by the US gov.

It is a gamble, not an investment. Might want to keep that in mind.

Since the stock market was going up during the bailout talks, l would wager yes because it seems that the market wants to salute this. l was hoping for a good dip today to buy some other stocks, & prepare for this run. No such luck. You would think that with the largest banking collapse in history, we would have gotten some good downside today. Market logic..
