The $700 billion doesn't seem to be working. What's going on with the $630 billion the Fed injected on Sept 29

Its not going to work, because there only throwing money at it wich fixes nothing. there needs to be more regs. plus the liberals have to understand that you have to be held accountable. so the easy answer is, the liberals are once again messing everything up

Since it is doubtful that any of that money has been disbursed, it seems logical that the bailout has had no effect yet. Money from the bailout package is expected to take over a year to parse out, with only about $350 billion directly committed to being spent (the second $350 billion has to be approved upon recommendation of the Sec. Treasury).

As for additional regulations in the above answer, the regulations & controls in the bill were put there by the Democratic party instead of the original bill with no regulation or control as proposed by the White House & the republican congressmen.

Give it time. The markets r ''shaking out'' the marginal shaky investors & the professionals r picking up the bargains. Once most of the ripe fruit has been shaken from the trees, the markets will gradually return to order & start reflecting the true value of equities.

In the meantime, we little guys can profit too by seeking out solid, well-run companies whose stock price has been battered down by the panic of the herd.

It reminds me of buffalo being stampeded over a cliff. The smart Indians stayed at the bottom of the cliff & picked up the free meat.
