what do yo mean by ''for the next 6 months'' r u wanting to invest now, & withdraw ur money in 6 months? or r u wanting to invest ur money over the next 6 months & keep it invested for a long time?

If u plan to withdraw ur money in 6 months, l would stay ultra-conservative because of today is market. l would just buy CD is & try to find an interest rate that will keep up with inflation.

If u want to put money in over the next 6 months & keep it invested for a long time, then l would buy real estate. Housing prices r very low right now & there r tons of great deals out there. You can rent the properties out for now creating some income, then when the market recovers u can sell them at a profit.

Depends on what you mean by ''best'' -- most likely to increase in value, most likely to not lose value, best gamble at shooting off like a rocket? What do you mean by ''best''?
