Are there any good investment ideas now that stocks are cheap?

Well . there is Absolutely no thumb rule that can apply to give u a good return -- even companies like microsoft foe eg.

Best at this time is - buy GOLD this is true no matter what part of the world u r or which stock exchange/market u r affiliated with

but if u do have the liquidity with u .. u can do a long term investment & forget it for a few years with no short term gain.

It is a roller coaster when it comes to stock what goes down will come up --- question is how soon - if that is not a problem for u pick all under valued stocks right now its a good time to buy.

Hey Carlo. If you think the bill is going to pass, then you might be able to make money by trading quickly into AIG, ABK, or MBI. If it does pass, expect a surge, take your gains out of those stocks and expect a sell off from profit takers.
But remember: These are high risk high reward type stocks.
