Ok, l have now learned how to successfuly day trade and now l wanna know how l go about doing it.l live in Canada and l wanna know the following.

Where can l trade with trades at around $5-8 a trade?

If l buy a stock at 10.00 a share, do l have to pay more on a margin, aka 10.04 a share? And if l were to sell that share at 11.10 would l get that price or 11.05 area?

What software can l buy that has live quotes and live charts that are good with a tick by tick update or 20-30 sec updates on the stock chart for canadian charts?

What are the ETF`s l need to trade Canadian or US stocks that are on the TSE?l know HSU and HSD are up and down stocks respectively with double yields.l want double yields as l was doing great trading SDS and SSO on virtual stock exchange only.Is there any other good double yield ETFs?

Right now l am trading longterm (a few weeks or a week) and it costs $30 a trade (too much) and it is not possible to day trade as it takes time for money to get into my bank (B of NS)

i do not know if HSU and HSD are based on the S&P in USA or the S&P in Canada

l believe TD AMeritrade is available in Canada. All trades are $10.00, margin trades slightly more. They give you the software for free, and it is excellent. It mirrors what my full time broker has. l have used several online companies, l love TD Ameritrade the best. Call them 1-800-669-3900

You probably need to use an American Brokerage for most American stocks.
Etrade says you need to complete W-8BEN form (provided in the application form) if you're not a US citizen.

Warning: It is obvious to any serious day trader that u r going to be in for a rude surprise. It takes years to become a successful day trader. The only way to know if ur successful is to reflect on 3 years of trading. Reading a book or paper trading does not count.
Most successful day traders read a new trading book.. every month.

You have not any experiance in Money Management. which as u know is considered (by many) to be just or more important than what stock to pick.

To delcare that u can now ''successfuly day trade'' without ever doing it... misses the most important part of trading, the psychological.. the ability to recognize reality.

And to repeat: Virtual trading... (paper trading) gives very little indication on how successful u will be. Use good position sizing techniques.. or u will wipe yourself out.
