no - they are saying further declines expected, in 1929 there was steady decline for MONTH before it bottomed

A month ago people were saying it could not go any lower, now after a week of blood letting and an index drop of over 3,000 points, they are predicting it will go lower.

No one knows. Watch for the indexes to go up for a month straight before declaring bottom has been hit.

no way. if the G7 or 8 or whatever doesnt do something to instill confidence this weekend we will see a loss of around 500 monday. l used ot think the bottom was going to be around 9000, but now l think it will be closer to 7,000. be ready though, when it comes back up, it should hold steady around a thousand above the bottom for a year or so and then shoot up again in whatever the next bubble is.

No one knows what the bottom is or if we just hit it today. Maybe, maybe not.

Chances are that when the markets reopen next week, we will see some buy-back.

If this is it then this is not as bad at as the tech bubble. Since they are saying that they expect further losses and it is not quite as bad yet as the tech bubble then l would say we have not hit bottom yet.
