Ok, well im 19, and im in school right now. l started a portfolio on july 3rd 2008. l began with $7000 and spread it out between BALCX CWBCX and CWGCX. l lost like 2k so far...what should l do. and l dont need the moeny for like 8 years.

Take it out of the market.

Even though it is rallying right now, this is called ''dead cat bounce'' when it looks like its ''alive'' but really, its dead.

YOu SHOULD use some of it to buy gold and buy currency.

Sit tight this will be a long ride.

l say hold on, you've got another 8 years before you need the money. l suspect the market will be at record highs by then.
Having said that your American funds are class C with relatively high expenses & a deferred load. Personally l think you would be better off with Vanguard, Fidelity or TRowe Price funds.
